Tilley Paraffin Pressure Lamp X246B, c1969, unused in box F*S
This was my Father's c1969 Tilley Paraffin Pressure Lamp, and a lovely example of mid-century British workmanship. It was manufactured on Brent Street in Hendon, London. My Father bought this sometime before 1969, and I remember preparing it for use prior to landfall of Hurricane Camille in 1969. Our home in Henderson Point, Mississippi was destroyed in the storm so it was never used. We fled and this was in our car so I was not destroyed. This is a Parrafin (kerosene) fueled lamp, similar to a Coleman as they both use a mantle.
