Vintage early-1970's edition of the classic "Helmsman" by Seth Thomas first produced in 1962. This was my Dad's retirement gift in 1971, and sat on his desk till he passed in 1998. Finish is bright and shiny having recently been cleaned and serviced. Original foil label intact: Cat. 1008, Helmsman-W, Model E537-001, Seth Thomas, Div. of General Time Corp., Thomaston, Conn., U.S.A. The movement is German, made by Hermle. Silver dial behind screw-on bezel. Diameter of face 4-1/2"
