I bought this safe ~35 years ago, and have used it only in my home. I filled the bottom of it with 300 lbs of lead shot and at ~400 lbs, I never worried about casing it in concrete or welding it to a column. This safe has a 1/2" thick steel plate door secured in place by a 1/2" flat locking bolt,1/2” bottom plate and ¼” side plates. With all other sides secured by concrete, this safe is near impenetrable and extremely pry resistant offering no real access points. You don’t have to set it in concrete, you can drill and bolt it to columns, framing and plumbing, or just hide it behind a panel.  While intended for floor access, you can also mount it horizontally and hide it in a closet.

On the face of the door is a UL Approved Sargent & Greenleaf S&G Mechanical Combination Lock and chrome handle. Once the correct combination is dialed and you turn the handle, you lift the 27lb door out.  Once you've finished placing or removing valuables and you begin to close the door, the bolt detent will click into place and lock the safe automatically for you.
