Garcia Mitchell 402 Spinning Reel, 1969 vintage made in France. This model reel is still a preferred reel among many saltwater fishermen, the reel is marked Made in France and this is one of the earlier body types. There is still 100% of the blue finish on the metal body but there are signs of use as you would expect. Most of the wear to the body is on the bottom bracket where the bottom was rubbing, and a small corner is chipped off where my Dad dropped it one day. Otherwise nice looking for a 60-year-old reel. This is a beautiful reel in very good condition given its age, it is one my Dad's spinning reels that he rarely if ever used, it's in very good used shape with a few light scuffs which have all come from rattling around in his salt-water box. It still works great.

This reel has a Line Capacity of 250 yards of a 25-pound test line. This heavy-duty high-speed spinning reel can be used for heavy freshwater or medium saltwater fishing.
