Flit Gun - 1930s brass and copper F*S
This is my Dad's 1930s Flit gun - its a hand-pumped insecticide sprayer used to dispense insecticide and was used to kill flies and mosquitoes before the days of aerosol cans. This is the Rolls-Royce of Flit guns, a solid copper & brass DB Smith Blizzard continuous sprayer in superb condition. The bottom of the copper reservoir is embossed "screw can and nozzle tight keep nozzle clean" and "Made by D. B. Smith & Company -Blizzard continuous sprayer - Utica, New York, U. S. A." The hand pump tube is brass and measures 12" inches long, the copper reservoir is 3 1\2" inches in diameter at the base and 4" inches tall. When I was a kid and lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we used to squirt Gulf-Spray throughout our un-air-conditioned house to kill mosquitoes. GulfSpray can not included
