WWII era Signal Mfg. Co. Portable Windshield Defroster Very nice WWII era Signal Mfg. Co. portable windshield defroster. This piece harkens from the days when windshield defrosters weren't part of a car's standard equipment. The defroster is in very good condition, it even includes a clamp-on power switch and everything still works! It comes in its original olive-drab green metal case which has a few dings and dents, probably from usage. It also has a few paint scrapes. The metal case still has the original instructions pasted inside the cover. The defroster itself is in very good condition. The rubber suction cups are good, no cracking. The only damage I can see is that the cable end coverings have cracked. The wires are still firmly attached. No scratches on the glass. The piece was produced by the Signal Mfg. Company in Lynn, Mass. It measures 19 1/2" 8 1/2".
