I paid $189.00 for the pair in 1989, I am downsizing and its time to say farewell to these old friends. JVC was famous for their quality and tight tolerances, and these speakers are true to that ethos. The cabinets have been matched to the speakers which gives an extremely tight tolerance of .5 % which is the reason for their famous \"ruler flat\" frequency response. These have matching pair numbers 15417F and were selected by JVC to pair perfectly.\u003cbr\u003eI have never driven them with anything approaching 20 watts and they are acoustically pristine.
