This antique carpenter's wood clamp was my Father's, and he was born in 1904 This is a large Jorgensen 16 inch Adjustable Wood Handscrew with a 100 years of aged patina. Lots of wear and a lovely, distressed look.

The entire clamp is rock maple - excepting the the long, handled steel screws. Each handscrew is 20-inches long and each clamp jaw is ~16-inches in long X 2.25-inches square. The maple screw handles measure 4.5-inches in length, including the steel ferrule. The maple is solid and heavy and has lots of markings and character. On the side of one of the jaws on each side is etched and burned into the wood the name of the company that reads: Trade Mark JORGENSEN REG. US. PAT. OFF. MADE IN USA.

For its age, the clamp is in solid condition. Lots of marks, scrapes, nicks, chips and character in the wood due to rugged use. This handscrew is character-filled with much use over time, adding to its vintage appearance.

Would look terrific displayed in a den, kitchen, bar or man cave. Would also make a great bookend on a bookshelf. Add it to your farmhouse decor. Or, use it as a clamp! Just a gorgeous antique piece!
