Here is my Father's 1921 HMV Model 97 phonograph in excellent condition. This was the first gramophone that my Father owned, which he received for his H.S graduation in 1921. It has a 10” turntable, correct HMV Nº21 sound box, both automatic and manual brakes, a pivoted front corner needle bin and is complete. It is finished in a black Rexine® leather-cloth covered case with a leather handle and is in perfect working order.

This is not a restoration, he treasured it from his childhood (born 1904) and it is in extraordinarily good condition. This phonograph has been cherished and regularly lubricated for 103 years and is ready to give another 100 years of service. The turntable felt is original I believe, and the cabinet's Rexine® skin is undamaged, with only a few wrinkle areas on the bottom. It plays very loudly and clear, softer with top lowered. The motor runs without fluttering and the tone arm produces a nice clean sound without extraneous vibrations.
Put this in your office or home or place of business and it will command instant attention (and admiration ).
