This was my Dad's and he was born in 1904 in New Orlean.  When he was ~10yr old boy he had a job sweeping in a small grocery, and this came home with him one day, so he told me. What boy doesn't like ice cream? This unique conical scoop has earned its patina with many years of making my family happy. Measures about 10 ” long by 2” wide at handle by 2 1/8” tall at scoop. Marked 'Gilchrist's No. 33' on the thumb handle. This is in excellent vintage condition; it is heavy nickel plated cast brass and the scraper inside the scoop still spins as it should.
