Eastman Kodak Company Aero Ektar 7in f:2.5 aerial camera telephoto lens in custom focusing mount. This lens was designed to fill a 5" x 5" film size;it generates a 8" diameter image which is perfect for huge collodion images. This lens is in excellent condition for its age, no scratches, damage or fungus; there is minimum dust and the aperture works as it should.  Note the 2 spots in the lens images, these are bubbles (inclusions) in the glass and normal for an 80 year old lens.  This monster weighs ~4.5 lbs.

These lenses were made for the US military during WWII to mount in K-21 Aerial cameras and used in reconnaissance missions. Kodak sold these lenses to the US AAF for ~$360 and after the war, these lenses where sold at army surplus stores . I bought this lens from Edmund Scientific in 1968, and machined the focusing mount to use this lens on my Spotmatic SP500. The SP500 shown is fully functional and included in the sale.

Using the M42 screw-mount, this can be mounted on mirrorless cameras with manual adapters, allowing for infinity focus. These adapters exist for all major mirrorless systems (Sony E, Canon RF/EF-M, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Micro Four Thirds)

This lens has grown immensely in popularity over the last 10 years as an exceptional portrait lens for rendering backgrounds completely out of focus. David Burnett chose this lens to shoot the Olympics in 2012 and made some amazing images, defying what most would think of from this "portrait" lens. When shot wide open, its shallow depth of field is roughly equivalent to 50mm f/0.7! With such a shallow depth of field from it's f/2.5 aperture, it's easy to see why so many people are raving over this lens
