c1950 SINGER SEWING MACHINE Wood Shipping Crate - Britain

My uncle Carl served in the Quartermaster corp in Europe in WW-II , and they trained him as a cobbler/shoe-repairman. When he was discharged, he came home to New Orleans and plied his GI trade as Tip-Top shoe repair on Gravier Street, in New Orleans, till 1998.  Singer made cobbler's leather sewing machines, and you can see his picture with a Singer machine in the background. For all I know this may be the case his British machine came from.  The top is long gone, but the case is in decent shape considering its age. Its approximately 21" x 17" x 16"
