146 year old Gillinder & Sons footed classic water pitcher, The pattern is Gillinder's #403, named CLASSIC. It dates from 1875.  It is made in a dramatic six-sided shape, and has satin frosted arched panels on two sides, with statuesque nude figures under each arch. The handle and feet have a wood-grain texture and the spout is decorated with an oak leaf design. Every part of the design shows meticulous detail, and the pictures do not do this piece justice. Gillinder updated their molds to give the items in this pattern a round collar base rather than six separate log feet, because the feet were prone to breaking.  The log-feet version is hard to find in good condition because so many of them have chipped or broken feet.

Delightful and with quite a personality! In excellent antique condition, no chips. Stunning to use at your table, or to display with your collection of 19th century French, English and American glass. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, or cloudiness in the glass.  Really fine condition, considering its age.
