These film holders are designed for using with glass plates and believe it or not, I shot glass plates in the 60s and 70s. The can also be used with sheet film because each is fitted with 4x5" cut film sheaths. I bought these in the fall of 1968 from Alfredo's Cameras in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was only 16 and just beginning my large format career as an Industrial Photographer. My camera was the most versatile I could afford, a B&J Monorail Orbit (Pictured - not included in sale) and I've since used these film holders in Sinars, Kardan and Linhof cameras and they're still in exceptional condition. I went full digital ~20 years ago and its time to pass these old friends onto a new tyro. They have lived life since 1968 (58 years) in my dry, air-conditioned labs and they look to be good for another 58 years. Price is for all 4
