The feed rollers have been cleaned or replaced as necessary and any worn or damaged parts were repaired or replaced. The typewriter body has 100% original color from the factory and the machine has been thoroughly tested and a brand new 2-color black and red cotton ribbon is freshly installed. All this work guarantees you years of trouble-free operation. The machine inside has been lovingly used and cared for as you can see in the pictures. I'd rate it cosmetically an 8+ on a 10 scale, the main blemish is that the paint on the spacbar is worn through along the front and rear edges. This iconic Hermes has nicely rounded corners and a nifty lid that snaps down over the machine onto a base upon which the typewriter sits. The hard case is in very good condition with only a few scuffs and scrapes and dings, you can see in the pictures 50 years worth of care, the machine inside has been lovingly used but not abused - it is exceptionally clean!
